the Nikon D5200

A day to mark down on my calendar when I bought my 1st DSLR with my hard earned money (sobs). It was a purchase to remember (well duh, of course, with that incredibly ridiculous price, why wouldn't I?)
And so, to announce that I actually bought a NIKON when Im actually a CANON user. OMG~ I feel like I betrayed Canon. haha~

Actually I was really half-hearted when it came to buying the camera; half insisted Canon, the other wanted a Nikon. It was such a hard decision for me to make on the spot.
Of course not forgetting the influence from friends made it even harder; half of them were Canon fans and the other were Nikon.
Ottoke ottoke~~ (>~<)

Long story short... Nikon won. Why? Because the Nikon guy said so. =.='''

Nah... not really. I guessed I wanted to try something new, since every Nikon fan said Nikon's picture quality is the best, the colours outcome are tremendously awesome.
However, I... wanted to test it out myself. Seeing as how I am already satisfied with Canon, so why not try another brand.
And since now I have a new camera, I guess it'll be easier to do my project 365 now (if im not too busy working). Hooray!

EDIT (7 Feb 14)

Verdict of using the Nikon:

1. The weight is definitely heavier than Canon. (both with basic kit lens)
2. In liveview mode, Nikon has a timelapse of 6 secs, which make me have to hold the camera still the very end whilst Canon shoots it instantly. (this point is very important for me cos I use LV mode a lot)
3. Shortcut function buttons like the ISO, White Balance should be placed on the body instead of inconveniently switching it through the screen. Canon has the ISO shortcut button on the outside, which proves convenient to Photographers (like myself)
4. Colours.... yes, I agree... its a lot nicer and richer than Canon's.
5. Conveniency.... Canon is better. Nikon... too much selection to do till I reach my desire settings.

So far... this is all I have experimented with my Nikon. It definitely made me miss my Canon a whole lot.
But what's done is done... I can't turn back now. Anyways, its better to learn both so its easier in the future. :)
