I Hate Tomatoes

Just a quick drop by to update you guys with my latest assignment in college. 

As you can see from the title, yes, it has to do with tomatoes.

We were given a reference of tomatoes to redraw in our way & style. 

I dont think I did a very good job, maybe cos I was so sick of looking at the tomatoes and frankly speaking, I am not a fan of tomatoes either. Hah~

So here it is... and I've applied some filters on it. 

I can't stand looking at a pic of mine w/o any filters now. Bad habit. But I'll upload the original version as well. :) Enjoy.

The feeling of...

loneliness.

Its been 3 days that i have not been scolded or yelled at by my parents. 

Yea, because im being a lone wolf now, silencing myself from the world and from them. Its a good thing, i guess, since im not being scolded.

Like i said before, i have been scolded at recently for things that i have not done or said. So i decided from that day onwards, i am not gonna speak or show any emotions towards my family.

It worked.... and i survived 3 days of no scolding.

Though Dad is suspicious of my act and has been trying to ask me what's going on but i ignored the question.

Throughout all the years, i have always been tough~ tough on myself, tough on the outside kinda thing. But the truth is, im never tough, inside.

You may see me chatting away happily or maybe even just happily chilling out. Well, looks can deceive you. Sometimes(most of the time) im just too down to let my emotion show.

Why waste energy and time letting people know you're down and having them console you? Why bother at all actually? I rather keep it all in here and suppress them. Why worry others when you can keep it all to yourself right?

Anyways, im not here to bring down the atmosphere. Been busy with artworks lately, especially for CF artbook and my own stuffs.

However, most of my stuffs are just doodles cos i have to focus more on the CF artbook.

Also, i've finished Kore wa Zombie desu ka, and am obsessed with Hellscythe and Seraphim. They're soooo pwetty and owhsome. (>3<) So here's a doodle i did on them.

Things has been hectic, chaotic and stress for me & my coursemates. 

Its only a 10 weeks semester, so everything is rushed, rushed, rushed. Im not even sure if i've learnt anything this sem, besides watercolour of course. 

Anyways, a quick drop by to update a quick portrait doodle i did.

Tear of Roses

Ohai, im back...

Sorry i was busy with college assignments till i wasnt able to update anything in here.

I think my blog hates me now for ditching her. LoL XD

Anyways, remember my tear of roses sketch? Yep, finally got a chance to colour it and put it as my blog header layout. ^^

I think since i entered ToA, my style of drawing has changed. Although i know i have not been drawing anything that is not ToA-related lately, but my colour scheme and style has changed.... bits by bits.

After learning some colour schemes from drawing class, i am definitely loving muted and chromatic colours. owo

Argh... i really need to draw moar stuffs, stuffs that is non-ToA related. hehe~

Me, Me, Me and Me??

was busy with loads of final assignments lately, since its the final semester of my foundation year. Moving on to our major next semester. Yay, i cant wait~
Its the last 2 weeks of the sem and seeing as im free at the moment, decided to upload some of the final assignments that has been passed up.


For our History of Arts class, we had to do a multiple self-portraits of ourselves.
We had to do 4 diff selves, each using different mediums and different styles.
1-traditional medium, 2-photographic self, 3-imitate a pre-1950s Modern Art styles and 4-done in any way we wish.

For my 1st piece, i did it using the trusty pencil. Was a bit awkward drawing myself, hardihaha...
You could say i didnt really put much effort into doing this one cos i was cramping this @ 5am, so go figure.
But am glad how it turned out, at least... it looks like me. XD

As for 3rd piece, i had loads of fun experimenting with this self-portrait as i could do it in a famous artist's style.
I have chosen to do Expressionism from one of the major movement, der Blaue Reiter.
Paul Klee was my chosen artist because i like how he creates a painting just by using square patches.
It was a scary experience for me while colouring this as my audience may mistaken my work as Cubism.
I apologize for not showing my 4th piece here although i spent the most time on it but i felt that it wasn't good enough and that i could have done better to achieve the look that i wanted.


As for my CG class final project, we had to do a self-portrait too but in Alphonse Mucha's Art Nouveau movement.
I had tons of fun experimenting with this style too for you see; ornaments, details, women and curvilinear are essentials in an Art Nouveau movement, so everything about this is definitely dazzling. ^^
So um yea, we had to choose a character. It was a headache for me to choose cos i had so many in mind like fairies, joker from the tarot card, magician etc~

I ended up with... uhh yea, im sure you can guess. If not, then i failed miserably at achieving what i wanted, again. orz

Happy Bunny Year #2

Hey all, back to spam my 2nd CNY art piece. *woot*

If you've read my previous post, you will know that i wasnt quite satisfied with that CNY work at all. T__T

Thus, finally finished drawing and colouring this during the festive days. hehe~

For those who do not know, she's Alice aka Black Rabbit from the Pandora Hearts series.

Who else better to draw than Black Rabbit herself? *winks*

And FYI, i've changed a bit of my colouring style. Am tired of my old one, so am experimenting some new styles.

I am sooooo bored, so tired of assignments [what? already?]. Yea... WTH right?

Anyways, this pic is a collab with my dear cousin Ann. She drew the sketch and I coloured it. 

Seriously, i dont even have the time to think of anything, so I asked Ann to think of something and I'll just colour it later. Terrible right? XD

But, I hope u guys ♥ it anyway... hope Ann likes it too. She wanted it to be colourful, but its Halloween, its more creepy and dark to me, so Im so sorry that I have to turn the pic to a darker side. -grins-

Ohaiyo... i have no class today so i took some time out of assignments to do my own work.
Not really an artwork though, more like a practice for myself.
I really suck at painting backgrounds so i started with practicing some clouds/sky background.
No reference, just out of curiousity-ness of how a cloud should be done.

Grandma is feeling bit better, i think its the steroids. It gives her a bit of a boost up, so now her speech is better, she can form sentences better than before.
And she is reading newspaper again! Boy, i have not seen that in a while and im really happy that everything is well.

So here's Megurine Luka from Vocaloid 03, Magnet version. I really adore the Magnet version because of the butterfly headphones (duh). Why wouldn't anyone?

Was experimenting with Paint Tool Sai here... still new to it so am bit crappy. But loving it so far, the tools are easier to use compared to Photoshop. :)

Omocha no Ojo

Urgh... i so dont have the mood to blog at the moment, not sure why.
Anyways, here's another piece... I call it "Princess of Toys" or "Omocha no Ojo", whichever that is better. nandemonai.
She's my OC actually, if u can remember her -- Tsubasa. I changed her look, didn't quite like the previous one.
She's kinda like a spoilt brat now... ripping her toys and all, but she still sews them back later on [dunno, weird chara] and of course, she loves her Pocky. Eats it wherever she goes. Oh and she still loves the colour purple and green.

Anyhoo... im contemplating on whether to go BonOdori or C2AGE this Sat [17 July]. Argh, why fall on same day wan? I know the time is different but then its gonna be so tiring.
Bon Odori has dancing and all that, if i were to go C2AGE and then from there, go to BO, i sure pengsan alr.
So crappy ne ne ne~~~
BTW, NO COSPLAYS AT BON ODORI PPL!!! I dont understand why ppl are stressing on what to wear to BO. U're not suppose to cosplay, cos its not a Anime/Games/Comic con.
The rules were clearly stated so yea... unless u're lacking on Vitamin "see". LoLx~


Oh well, maybe i'll go to BO instead. I have not been there for ages. I miss it so much. Was so busy during college the last few years that i missed it. Ish, last i been to it was during 2006.
I love the dancing at the end. Its so fun where every1 hold hands and starts dancing... and yep, loads of Japanese foods, me favourite aisukurimu [ice-cream].

ok, i have to admit... i was super lazy to colour this piece. There were so mnay objects in here, that my eyes went bonkers just by looking at them, let alone colouring them. orz
So, one way to make it look "un-lazy" like, i freakishly added what-so-ever textures that i could find suitable. Tweak the colours, here and there... diff versions of them.
YES... AM KNOWN AS LAZY XRIN. super lazy actually~ (>_______<)

oh and not forgetting my dear Ciel-kun, which some of u kept begging me to post the coloured one since i uploaded half of his face in my current WIP post.
Sorry for only uploading it now whilst i actually finished colouring him the day i posted half of his face. teehee~
