Unboxing: Nendoroid 353 Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi

"Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi is the female protagonist in the anime series The Hentai Prince & The Stony Cat. A timid, shy person who thinks of herself being too childish, till one day she lost all her emotions after praying to the Stony Cat. Although she looks small & always been mistaken for a grade schooler, she loves devouring food especially snacks."

I am back with another unboxing/figurine review yet again and this time its Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi from Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko. She arrived with another nendoroid, Shimakaze from Kancolle. I am beyond happy when I received them, you'll see why soon enough. :)

The box itself is beyond adorable, as you can see, she comes with quite a number of stuffs.

          ❀ 3 faceplates
❀ 6 pairs of arms action
❀ detachable neko ears and lifted skirt
❀ others eg extra joint, stand etc~

Her faceplates are all really cute. Ok, it's like the only thing I've been saying since the start of this post; but seriously Im not joking. My favourite has gotta be Face #2 of course, no competition. Her slightly embarassed/eyeing more food face is hard to pass. This faceplate really captures her personality in the anime. (*´▽`*)

The other thing I really love about this nendoroid is the food that came with it (laughs). Tsukiko came with the arm action of holding the curry rice and holding a pau/bag of paus.

And because of that, you can pose her like this! (hah)

Not forgetting her detachable neko ears and a neko tail which is not so detachable as it is attached to her lifted skirt. And for this, you will be able to get this poses. (=^-ω-^=)

Albeit she is not a action packed/fighting character, she does come with numerous stuffs at a fair price. Definitely no regrets on getting her, and neither should you. If you had her in mind for some time, you should totally get her.

My rating for Tsukiko would exceed its number really...I can't even give her more than 10. The details on her are absolutely stunning and portrays her well. Shall be taking more pics of her, so stay tuned for future posts.

Stay gold dearies, xo~

Unboxing: Banpresto's Kuroko Tetsuya

"Kuroko Tetsuya (黒子 テツヤ) is the main character for the hit anime series Kuroko no Basuke (黑子のバスケ). He is known as the "Phantom Man" because of his absence of presence. Being part of the Generation of Miracles, Kuroko is the sixth man where he helps his teammates with his 'Misdirection' ability where he steals the opponent's ball & shift the trajectories of passes to suit his team without being noticed by opponents."

I finally got a chance to get my hands on this Kuroko figure by Banpresto. I first stumbled upon it on Google and was quite interested in it. Although from the images, I can tell that the details might not be so good; but hey it's Kuroko, and the price is fairly reasonable so I did not hesitate. I also ordered the Kuroko figure from Megahouse, which I will be reviewing in another post, so stay tuned. :)

Moving on...

From the box, one might think that Kuroko is gonna be freaking short/small. From what I read, the figure stands at 23cm tall while the box is only 18cm (hmm). But when I opened it, and this is what I saw.

As you can now see, the leg is separated from his body, this explains so much on the height thing. The whole box consists of:

         ◇  Body
         ◇  Legs
         ◇  Basketball Jacket
         ◇  Leg Stand

As you can see, I was too excited that I tore open the package already, forgetting that I was suppose to take a photo first.

The legs are labeled so you won't mess up which leg goes where.

Behold leg-less Kuroko... looks creepy huh (but still cool)

This is how the jacket fits... you're suppose to just adjust it to the back of his neck...

and voila! It's done.

And like I've said before, the details did not look so fine; which yea, kinda figured it. From the hair, one can tell that the paint/airbrush job was horrible, c'mon the gradient effect is horrid from my point of view.

However, the basketball did not disappoint. I think it looks like the real thing, which is a thumbs up!

Detailing of the uniform is quite sensible I guess, the foldings are quite decently done. However, there are still certain areas that need to be paid attention more.
Overall, I'd say I give this figure a 7/10? It looks amazing, seriously (from afar that is), but if you were to look closely, well that's a diff story altogether. No matter, I might give Kuroko a new paint job; am thinking of repainting the hair so it looks better.

Ending it with a photoshoot I did with Kuroko. ^^

Hope this review helps u... a bit. heehee~

the Nikon D5200

A day to mark down on my calendar when I bought my 1st DSLR with my hard earned money (sobs). It was a purchase to remember (well duh, of course, with that incredibly ridiculous price, why wouldn't I?)
And so, to announce that I actually bought a NIKON when Im actually a CANON user. OMG~ I feel like I betrayed Canon. haha~

Actually I was really half-hearted when it came to buying the camera; half insisted Canon, the other wanted a Nikon. It was such a hard decision for me to make on the spot.
Of course not forgetting the influence from friends made it even harder; half of them were Canon fans and the other were Nikon.
Ottoke ottoke~~ (>~<)

Long story short... Nikon won. Why? Because the Nikon guy said so. =.='''

Nah... not really. I guessed I wanted to try something new, since every Nikon fan said Nikon's picture quality is the best, the colours outcome are tremendously awesome.
However, I... wanted to test it out myself. Seeing as how I am already satisfied with Canon, so why not try another brand.
And since now I have a new camera, I guess it'll be easier to do my project 365 now (if im not too busy working). Hooray!

EDIT (7 Feb 14)

Verdict of using the Nikon:

1. The weight is definitely heavier than Canon. (both with basic kit lens)
2. In liveview mode, Nikon has a timelapse of 6 secs, which make me have to hold the camera still the very end whilst Canon shoots it instantly. (this point is very important for me cos I use LV mode a lot)
3. Shortcut function buttons like the ISO, White Balance should be placed on the body instead of inconveniently switching it through the screen. Canon has the ISO shortcut button on the outside, which proves convenient to Photographers (like myself)
4. Colours.... yes, I agree... its a lot nicer and richer than Canon's.
5. Conveniency.... Canon is better. Nikon... too much selection to do till I reach my desire settings.

So far... this is all I have experimented with my Nikon. It definitely made me miss my Canon a whole lot.
But what's done is done... I can't turn back now. Anyways, its better to learn both so its easier in the future. :)

September in Squares

Dropping by to drop my September Instagram dump. I have to admit, September wasn't a very happy month for me; my grandma got admitted to the hospital again due to hard of breathing. She went into a coma for 6 weeks and she passed recently during October. It was a sad, dark moment for me, really, my life revolved around my grandma alot as she took care of me for practically my whole life. I really miss her. :'(

(big sigh) ok... back to instagram dump.

So yea, I posted this on 1st of Sept, when my grandma was admitted; quoting "It was a tragic month for me". Was praying everything to go well, but... :(

Bought this cute waterproof camera online. I just couldn't resist it. The designs were too cute (typical me!)

And yes, I finally got Wakana Sakai from the anime Tari Tari 2 months ago. It's such a good anime. Have you watched it yet? Decorated my laptop with washi tape cos Im crazy like that sometimes. I may go crazy again and stick more. hah~

Crop top has been oh-so-in fashion all of the sudden. Everywhere you go is crop top, whether it'd be stripes, cross, polka dots etc. I decided to get 1 for myself frm H&M (my obsessed store). I really love it. Goes well with high-waisted jeans & boots.

I really adore this place in Australia. My aunt took a picture & I asked if I could have it to share with you guys. It's so beautiful isn't it? All these beach houses on the beach!! Not often a scene here in Malaysia. Would love to go there someday... (dreams on)

It has been months since I bought mangas. I missed out quite a lot of the series that I was following. Finally got a chance to buy some, while indulging my tea during tea time. Such bliss :)

O hai... It's the autumn mooncake festival again. How time flies. I really missed those times when I used to play lanterns during mooncake festival. Haha~ Really missed being a kid.

Nendoroid Kirito in the house. Ain't he a cutie? I still can't believe I got my hands on him. My 1st guy nendoroid (whaa..) I bought Asuna for my bro as his bday gift and I got Kirito for myself. Bro was unsaisfied as he wanted the whole set. :(

Typical... I must have have at least 1 sunset shot in a month of my instagram posts. I dunno why, but I just love the golden hour. It's perfect!

Speaking of perfect, I finally got tickets to SS5 Malaysia! Like seriously, I was really hesistant whether or not to go but hey, once in a lifetime opportunity; I just had to. RM595 goodbye... :(
But I think for SuJu, it'd be worth it.

Last but not least, ending the month with a pastel mint nail polish. My aunt got me the Revlon glitter range which i've been dying to get my hands on in Malaysia but sadly, it still is not here! WHY?
But no matter, I already got it, thanks to my aunt. I got "whimsical", a minty glittered polish which is too pretty for my nails (yes, my nails are ugly, please ignore).

That's all for the month of September. Thanks for stopping by.

xo~

Converse.

Hey all,
I am pretty sure anyone who's anyone knows or heard of the brand Converse right? If not, please go bang wall. LOL jk~
Was getting really art block/creativity block recently & I didn't know what to draw/ snap. Then this came to mind.
A lot of people have been posting pictures of their Converse shoes... other people's Converse etc~ And I thought I'd give it a try.
Btw, Converse is also known as Chucks. So if you do pass by someplace where people call it Chucks, don't freak. It is what it is.

Henceforth, if you guys have been following my Instagram, you guys probably know that I posted my Converse series there.
I took quite an amount of pictures but I did not posted all on my Instagram... just because.
So I thought I show it here... on my blog. :)

Btw, I've changed my blog header... yet again. It's more colourful now, I love it. :)
What do you think?
Have a nice week ahead. cheers~ xo

March Insta Dump

Yes, I will be doing monthly Instagram dump here on my blog.
Well, maybe not monthly but whenever I do not have any interesting stuffs to post, I will dump my IG pictures, hence the name IG dump. XD

Bought this lovely shade of grey from The Face Shop. Was very happy I got it as I was looking for a pretty subtle shade of grey and this is nice.

Yea, the usual. The skies are always so pretty during sunset.

Ooohh... I finally bought Mirai Suenaga after so long. Went to AF-Hobby with Jin.

Bokeh bokeh...

Mum got me this cute macaroons that came in a makeup palette box. Creative huh?

2nd try @ gradient nails. I think it turn out better than the 1st. Teal/Seaform green is such love.

Yes... whatthehell.... LeeHom was having a 3 nights concert here in Msia and I couldn't go... Just because it was held in Genting. Damn~ :(

Dad was in a good mood that day and took us all to Publicka. Happy. I've always wanted to go Publicka but it's so far.
I really love the place. It's a very artsy place... and the shops sell loads of cute knick-knacks. :)

Okie dokie... that's a wrap for my March happenings. Boring yes I know. :D
I shall go to the corner now and grow mushrooms. orz

7 February 2013

Lately

I finally took a chance to visit one of my local carnival fair and take a shot of ferris wheel, carousels etc~
It was not open to the public during the daytime but I went in anyway. Sadly, I did not stay till the night to have a shot at beautiful bokehs.
I will make sure to make a trip back there during the night.

Unfortunately, I predicted the day wrongly. It was a really beautiful sunny day until I got there and the sun started to hide behind the clouds. :(
But I did not want to waste my trip there so I took anyways.
So I hope you guys enjoy. Sorry for the lack of sunlight/sun. I promise to take a better one next round.

Somehow this tree and mood made me feel like as if its winter time here in Malaysia. Adore this shot a lot. :)

It was a bit difficult for me to edit the pictures because most of it were too under exposed. I guess the sun wasn't really on my side that day.
No matter, it gives me more motivation to go back and snap more.
Hope you all enjoyed the pix.
