Ai....

Otsuka. 

Did a composition portrait of Ai Otsuka for my composition analysis class. 

It was a freaking long time ago, if i am not mistaken, it should be last August. Suppose to upload it but i got busy with assignments and forgot about it. 

Well, here it is. It is actually the Final project. The other one I did was of Pandora Hearts the anime. Love no? I shall post it here conveniently. hah! - my lazyness

of Pandora Hearts. I was bliss when the lecturer said we could do animations instead of movies. Urgh, doing movies will take more time. Animation is WAY easier. :D

I really lurve the after effect on Gilbert's cloak. Spent the most time on it. Glad it paid off. Oh and white Alice's gown too. :) 

p/s: should i be labeling this under 2011 artworks or 2012 artworks? hmm~

Im alive and back~ Updates#1

ohai peeps.... im so happy to be alive and back to blog about it. 

I miss blogging... seriously orz

I've been missing out on things, like seriously! Im now outdated on my animes, mangas, illustrations & blogging.

Being in ToA makes me miss my normal everyday life... A LOT!! T^T

Anyhoo, enough of the rants, im here to update my blog peeps on what's been goin on in my life.

ok, did i mention i went out shopping with Ann and her friend HuiShean?

Yea, i thought i left it out somewhere. hahas~ See, Ann was back for the Easter Holidays and she wanted to go for some gown shopping.

Turns out she was invited to prom... OMG~ excited much. HuiShean tagged along. She's so cute, and even asked if she could call me nee-san. *3* kawaii desu~

Went to 1U as there is more to shop there, and coz i was bored with Sunway already. teehee.

Lunch at waffle world... yum, waffles.

We visited most stores that might suit her but in the end, she bought an off-shoulder top and shorts. zzz... no nice dresses.

We had problems deciding on where to eat for dinner, final decision was Wong Kok. (>.<)

Went back around 8pm.

ok... i got back my postcard design for Design2 class. It was ok, i guess.

And then i had the maximalism book cover design [in which was kept by my lecturer because it was one of the good designs].

So, here are the postcard designs. We were supposed to pick a theme and draw them in the different balances. Symmetrical, asymmetrical, radial and neutral.

I picked seasons, of course. I had a lot of ideas in mind but was too busy/lazy to imagine em out.

ok, so i felt horrible for not updating anything at ALL for the last few months.

Things has been hectic, chaotic and stress for me & my coursemates. 

Its only a 10 weeks semester, so everything is rushed, rushed, rushed. Im not even sure if i've learnt anything this sem, besides watercolour of course. 

Anyways, a quick drop by to update a quick portrait doodle i did.

Cakie Bride

Did you know, one of the best things about being in an art college is when u're given a chance to design something and make it happen.
For our History of Arts project, we were given the opportunity to create a character and design a costume~ Hell yeah, how awesome is that?
Sorry for the late update on this assignment. Had to gather all the pics and edit them.
Btw, still loads more of final project to be posted like our stop-motion movie and my maximalism design (which i cant really post abt it cos the lecturer kept my work) orz

Each group were to choose 2 art movements and combine them onto the costume, my group chose minimalism and Dada.
We had a lot of ideas of combining different art movements but decided on those in the end. Hence, our character was a bride.
Due to one of my group mates who loves sweet stuffs so much that her costume sketch was a bride wearing a cake with loads of different toppings. C'mon, which girl doesnt like sweets huh?! XD

The final project presentation was on the last day of our 2nd semester. Things was definitely rushed.
We were all busy with other final projects such as stop-motion movie and maximalism book cover design.
We also wanna thank Nicole for spontaneously be our model, LoL. Not really, we kinda just force her to be the model seeing as she has the height + body.
Not only that, i have been chosen to be the groom. Yea, a groom for my dear bride. lol~
Hence, decided to borrow Xsaye's wig for the presentation. ^^ Arigatou desu~

Tear of Roses

Ohai, im back...

Sorry i was busy with college assignments till i wasnt able to update anything in here.

I think my blog hates me now for ditching her. LoL XD

Anyways, remember my tear of roses sketch? Yep, finally got a chance to colour it and put it as my blog header layout. ^^

I think since i entered ToA, my style of drawing has changed. Although i know i have not been drawing anything that is not ToA-related lately, but my colour scheme and style has changed.... bits by bits.

After learning some colour schemes from drawing class, i am definitely loving muted and chromatic colours. owo

Argh... i really need to draw moar stuffs, stuffs that is non-ToA related. hehe~

Btw, Happi Burfday to my dear aunt. Hugs and kisses...

Me, Me, Me and Me??

was busy with loads of final assignments lately, since its the final semester of my foundation year. Moving on to our major next semester. Yay, i cant wait~
Its the last 2 weeks of the sem and seeing as im free at the moment, decided to upload some of the final assignments that has been passed up.


For our History of Arts class, we had to do a multiple self-portraits of ourselves.
We had to do 4 diff selves, each using different mediums and different styles.
1-traditional medium, 2-photographic self, 3-imitate a pre-1950s Modern Art styles and 4-done in any way we wish.

For my 1st piece, i did it using the trusty pencil. Was a bit awkward drawing myself, hardihaha...
You could say i didnt really put much effort into doing this one cos i was cramping this @ 5am, so go figure.
But am glad how it turned out, at least... it looks like me. XD

As for 3rd piece, i had loads of fun experimenting with this self-portrait as i could do it in a famous artist's style.
I have chosen to do Expressionism from one of the major movement, der Blaue Reiter.
Paul Klee was my chosen artist because i like how he creates a painting just by using square patches.
It was a scary experience for me while colouring this as my audience may mistaken my work as Cubism.
I apologize for not showing my 4th piece here although i spent the most time on it but i felt that it wasn't good enough and that i could have done better to achieve the look that i wanted.


As for my CG class final project, we had to do a self-portrait too but in Alphonse Mucha's Art Nouveau movement.
I had tons of fun experimenting with this style too for you see; ornaments, details, women and curvilinear are essentials in an Art Nouveau movement, so everything about this is definitely dazzling. ^^
So um yea, we had to choose a character. It was a headache for me to choose cos i had so many in mind like fairies, joker from the tarot card, magician etc~

I ended up with... uhh yea, im sure you can guess. If not, then i failed miserably at achieving what i wanted, again. orz

Anyways, i did not draw any particular Valentine's day work, so i'll just drop a quick sketch i did the other day.

Really random sketch that just came to my head. I guess i was going for a rose theme.

Hey all, back to spam my 2nd CNY art piece. *woot*

If you've read my previous post, you will know that i wasnt quite satisfied with that CNY work at all. T__T

Thus, finally finished drawing and colouring this during the festive days. hehe~

For those who do not know, she's Alice aka Black Rabbit from the Pandora Hearts series.

Who else better to draw than Black Rabbit herself? *winks*

And FYI, i've changed a bit of my colouring style. Am tired of my old one, so am experimenting some new styles.

I am sooooo bored, so tired of assignments [what? already?]. Yea... WTH right?

Its only been 2 weeks since sem2 started but we've got hell lotta assignments to do. /hatesfigurestudies/

So, i took the day off today to spend some time drawing my own thing and updating some stuffs in this bloggie.
