Hey lovelies,
so I assume everyone should know about Pink for October right? Ok, maybe not everyone but every female humans out there. :D
For those who seriously have no idea what Think Pink or Pink for October is, well, let me just sum up everything for you.
The month of October is known as the National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
It is a campaign raise by the NBCAM to raise awareness on breast cancer and to help raise funds for its cause, preventions, treatment and cure.
Countries all over the world helped raise the awareness by lighting up their local landmarks with pink lights when it hits October 1st every year.
Different country participates every year; like the Tokyo Tower that lit up in pink during Oct 1, 2007. Even Niagara Falls lit up in pink too. Don't ask me how the falls lit up in pink thought cos i seriously do not know.
It is actually a very good way to help raise awareness of this disease, in order of helping the women all around the world overcome their issues.
We, as women/female/girl have to be aware of our own body so that we will not suffer from these diseases.
Sometimes, it just takes a moment to care and be observant with the things around you.
I was asked to participate in the Breast Cancer Awareness too in one of the companies in Malaysia.
Me and other talented artist were asked to draw an artwork based on raising awareness of the disease. All artworks will be combined and made into an artbook.
I did not hesitate to help out of course. And my artwork was featured in their artbook in 2011.
So... What are you gals out there doing to help spread the word? A lil bit of effort goes a long way my friends.
Try holding a mini campaign in your school and help spread the word. It can be anything, so long as its pink! :)
Wear a pink tee, have pink nails(like my pink pedicure, check out my instagram), pink umbrella, pink lingerie (ahem), anything! ;)
Do help make the world a better place.
Take care my lovelies and do observe your body once in a while for precaution. Like they always say, Prevention is better than cure. -grins-
